Macpherson Trade Acrylic Eggshell is a water-based, quick-drying eggshell paint that can be applied to interior walls, wood and metal. An alternative to conventional eggshell, Macpherson Trade Acrylic Eggshell provides a durable, washable sheen finish which will not yellow. Perfect for bathrooms or kitchens thanks to its washable finish, resistant to moisture.

Applying Macpherson Trade Acrylic Eggshell

For best results apply 2 coats to a clean, dry surface using a brush, roller or spray. If painting a porous surface, first apply a mist coat of Macpherson Trade Acrylic Eggshell thinned with 40% water.

Customer Questions
Can Macpherson Trade Acrylic Eggshell be used to cover black ceiling beams and is primer or under oat needed?

You can use Macpherson Trade Acrylic Eggshell on interior beams without an undercoat but where a strong colour change is required going from black to pure brilliant white, we'd recommend using Macpherson Trade Acrylic Primer Undercoat before applying 2 - 3 coats of eggshell.

Can Macpherson trade acrylic be painted on to new plasterboard walls

Yes, You can use the Macpherson Trade Acrylic Eggshell on new Plasterboard however we would not recommend this. We do recommend that you use a contract matt on new plasterboard.

Can this paint be used to cover silk walls when used with a good primer? Or is acrylic over silk not recommende?
Yes, The Macpherson Trade Acrylic Eggshell can be applied. We do recommend a suitable primer before application.

How many windows and doors are there in the area you want to paint?

This is based on a coverage of 10m² per litre of paint and one coat of paint.

Make sure you always check the coverage on the product page before purchasing and, if covering a dark or bright colour, you may need two or three coats.
