Sadolin Classic All Purpose Woodstain is a super verstaile woodstain that can be used on a wide variety of wooden surfaces, both interior and exterior. On it's own, it is perfect for decking, fencing, cladding, sheds, fascias, garden furniture and garden buildings. As a basecoat, it is ideal for new windows, doors, interior flooring and furniture.

Sadolin Classic All Purpose Woodstain works by absorbing deep into the timber to provide exceptional protection against the weather. It is particularly effective used on it’s own on large areas of timber such as decking, fencing, cladding, and garden furniture.  It is also the perfect basecoat for new doors and windows, which can then be overcoated with Sadolin Extra, Sadolin Clearcoat, Sadolin Yacht Varnish or Sadolin Outdoor Varnish.

Alternatively use Sadolin Classic All Purpose Woodstain to add colour to interior wood, followed by a protective topcoat of Sadolin Polyurethane Varnish or Sadolin Polyurethane Floor Varnish

Please note that this product is mixed to order and cannot be returned. For full details on our returns policy please read here. For our full range of Sadolin Classic ready mixed colours, shop here.

Applying Sadolin Classic Wood Protection

For best results use a good quality, long-haired, soft bristle brush. Sadolin Classic should be applied in a full flowing coat, working well into joints and ensuring end grains or sawn timbers are coated to saturation. After 5-10 minutes redistribute the coating by brushing evenly in the direction of the grain. Allow a minimum of 16-24 hours drying time before recoating or applying the Sadolin Extra finishing topcoats. Avoid over spreading Sadolin Classic as this will reduce the long term durability and performance of the coating system.

How many windows and doors are there in the area you want to paint?

This is based on a coverage of 10m² per litre of paint and one coat of paint.

Make sure you always check the coverage on the product page before purchasing and, if covering a dark or bright colour, you may need two or three coats.
