Armstead Trade Stabilising Primer is a professional, clear solvent-based primer. Designed to seal powdery exterior masonry surfaces specifically but is also suitable on most decorative surfaces, it is a reliable option for both professional decorators and DIY.
For best results, apply with a brush or roller to a properly prepared surface. To properly prepare, vigorouslu scrape and brush your surface to remove any loose or flaking paint and dirt. A stiff fibre brush will give better results than a wire brush, as any wire that becomes embedded in the wall will rust, and stain the new paint. Treat any existing mould or organic growth with Dulux Trade Weathershield Multi-Surface Fungicidal Wash and make good minor defects using a sand and cement mix for larger holes and cracks.
Once fully prepped and primed, begin painting your surface with your chosen paint. We offer a wide range of masonry paints at brilliant prices as well a huge range of emulsions to suit any project, all available with free express delivery over £50.

How many windows and doors are there in the area you want to paint?

This is based on a coverage of 10m² per litre of paint and one coat of paint.

Make sure you always check the coverage on the product page before purchasing and, if covering a dark or bright colour, you may need two or three coats.
