Osmo Polyx-Oil Rapid Satin is a professional, fast drying wood coating with special surface hardness that uniquely combines the advantages of natural oils and waxes in one product. Ideal for the protection of all wooden floors, such as solid wood, plank, strip, OSB and cork flooring, as well as for furniture surfaces. Stain-resistant, water-repellent, and abrasion-resistant, Osmo Polyx-Oil Rapid Satin smoothes the surface and compared to conventional finishes creates a more even colour thanks to the use of plant ingredients.

Preparation and Application of Osmo Polyx-Oil Rapid Satin

For best results the wood surface must be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 18%). Osmo Polyx®-Oil Rapid is ready to use so there is no need to thin, simply stire well before using with a flat stirring stick or spatula. We recommend that you clean old microporous stains thoroughly and remove any old paints, varnishes and lacquers first. Where applicable, fill small cracks, larger joints or holes in the wood with Osmo Wood Filler.

To ensure ease of application, we recommend applying with the Osmo Flat Brush, Microfibre Roller or Floor Brush. Apply thinly and evenly to the clean and dry wood along the wood grain and spread well within 10- 15 minutes wiping away any excess product. Leave the surface and allow to dry for approx. 4-5 hours under good ventilation. After drying, apply a second coat also thinly and quickly. When renovating or recoating an already oiled surface, one coat applied to the clean and dry surface is usually sufficient.

How many windows and doors are there in the area you want to paint?
