Zinsser Perma-White Interior is a matt finish, mould resistant paint that contains a biocide which protects against fungal degradation. Designed to resist cracking, peeling and blistering for up to 7 years before first maintenance, this is a high performing, durable mould resistant paint for interior walls and ceilings. With strong adhesion to existing solvent based or glossy paints, Perma-White Matt also seals flat paint, cement block, concrete and new drywall. 

Best suited for areas of high humidity where a durable, matt finish is wanted such as kitchens or bathrooms. 

Preparation and Application

For best results, apply with a brush, roller or spray to a clean, dry surface. Touch dry in just 30 minutes and ready for a second coat after 2 hours, this is a quick and easy to apply interior paint that requires no maintenance for up to 7 years.

Can I use a colour water based emulsion on top of this?
Yes, you can use a water based emulsion on top of Zinsser Interior Perma White Matt.
Can Zinsser Interior Perma White Matt go straight on to new plaster?
Yes, Zinsser Interior Perma White Matt can be applied to fresh plaster.
Will this cover damp pre emulsioning

Zinsser Interior Perma White won't cover damp before painting over with emulsion. The only way to get rid of the damp is to cure the root of the problem with a damp proofing course. If the root of the problem has already been cured, we recommend using Zinsser Coverstain to hide any staining.

Would this paint be fine to paint over bathroom tiles?
Yes, you can apply Zinsser Interior Perma White to bathroom tiles.
Is Zinsser Perma White Matt a mould resistant paint?

Yes, Zinsser Perma-White is a mould resistant paint that contains a biocide that protects the dried coating against fungal degradation. The paint is designed to resist cracking, peeling and blistering for up to 7 years. This paint can be used for high-humidity areas that are subject to challenging wear and tear, for instance, for bathrooms, utility and laundry rooms.  

Can you use silk on top of this paint

Can this paint be used on bathroom ceilings?

Yes, Zinsser Interior Perma White Matt is perfect for ceilings and is also well suited to high humidity environments as it was designed for use in high humidity areas like bathroom ceilings where mould and condensation is an issue. Can Zinsser Permawhite (exterior) be overpainted with an oil based gloss coat? I have a customer who has changed their mind (after I have painted all their sash windows!) who now wants an oil gloss coat finish in dark green instead. Doesn’t like the permawhite finish now it all done. Really hoping I don’t have to sand all the petmawhite off again
Yes, The Zinsser Interior Perma White Matt can be used however we would recommend to give the area a good rub down before applying.
If I use it as undercoat will that still be anti mould? I am painting over with vinyl matt
Yes, If you are using the Zinsser Interior Perma White Matt as a undercoat it will stop the mould coming through.
Can this be mixed to different colours. I am after a black colour. I notice other paint shops do mention this is possible.

Is the colour tinted version on your website CPAQSAT5 exactly the same stuff? I notice it is slightly cheaper and has a different tin which doesn't say anti mould etc
