Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain is a transparent, satin wood finish based on natural oils, suitable for all exterior wood. Creating a microporous surface allowing the wood to breathe, reduce swelling and shrinkage, this water-repellent, extremely weatherproof and UV-stable coating will not crack, peel, flake or blister. Rich in active ingredients for the protection of the coating against mould, algae and fungal attack, this clear woodstain has proven itself for decades under extreme climatic conditions.

Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain is ideal for all wood in outdoor areas: doors, windows and window shutter, carports, timber cladding, balconies, timber decking, fences, pergolas, garden furniture and summer houses. With no need to sand or prime, this easy to apply woodstain will give lasting results year after year.

Preparation and Application of Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain

For best results when applying Osmo exterior wood stain, we recommend that your wood surface is clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 20%). Osmo WR Base Coat is ready to use so there is no need to thin, simply stir well with a flat stirring stick or spatula. We recommend that any previous paint is removed before application.

For ease of application, we recommend that you use the Osmo Flat Brush or Microfibre Roller, spreading out thinly and evenly along wood grain. Apply a second coat if this is the first treatment or if renovating, one coat is usually enough. If additional protection against blue stain, rot and insects is desired, pre-treat the wood if possible on all sides with Osmo WR Base Coat.
