Sandtex Exterior Eggshell X-Tra is a high performance, solvent-based eggshell finish paint that has been specially formulated to provide long-lasting protection when applied to all exterior wood including fences and sheds and suitably primed metals. Touch dry in 4-6 hour and ready for a second coat after 16 hours, this is a reliable choice for painting exterior wood and metal.

How to Apply Sandtex Exterior Eggshell X-Tra

For best results ensure all surfaces are clean and dry. Create a good key by rubbing the surface with a suitable grade of abrasive paper and round off any sharp edges. Timber with oils/extractives must be swabbed with clean methylated spirits, frequently changing the face of the cloths.  Treat knots with two thin coats of fresh knotting oil and fill any holes, open joints and shallow surface defects with a wood filler.

Prime with a coat of Sandtex Flexible Primer Undercoat and then apply two full coats of Eggshell X-Tra using a brush or roller.
