Armstead Trade Metal Primer Zinc Phosphate is a professional grade metal primer that has excellent adhesion and works to inhibit rust, preventing the spread of corrosion. It is generally resistant to heat up to 90ºC and is suitable for use on both interior and exterior metal surfaces but is not suitable as a primer for Acrylated Rubber Paints.
For ease of application and best results, ensure all surfaces are sound, dry and free from grease, wax and oil before priming. Where necessary, use a suitable oil and grease remover. Remove all loose or defective paint back to a firm edge. In the case of iron and steel, remove all loose scale and rust by thoroughly scraping and wire brushing. Leave new shiny galvanised metal to weather and become dull before priming with Armstead Trade Metal Primer Zinc Phosphate, or use a metal primer that is suitable for use on new galvanised metal.

How many windows and doors are there in the area you want to paint?

This is based on a coverage of 10m² per litre of paint and one coat of paint.

Make sure you always check the coverage on the product page before purchasing and, if covering a dark or bright colour, you may need two or three coats.
