What is Rust-Oleum Paint?
Rust-Oleum is a well-respected American brand which started in 1921. Pretty much every can of Rust-Oleum sold in the UK is made at their factory in County Durham, so their paint doesn’t have to travel far to make it to your front door.
They specialise in what would be known as protective and maintenance paints. These are paints which would be used on surfaces that typically have a hard time resisting the elements. Given the obvious nature of the name, they initially worked on paints which prevent rust, but as time has gone on, that range has ballooned to include paints, oils and sprays which work on practically any surface.
While great for use on outdoor furniture and surfaces exposed to the elements, many people working on craft projects can benefit from using their products as well.
Why Rust-Oleum Paint?
Rust-Oleum has quite a versatile range; something we’re always on the lookout for at The Paint Shed.
Many people can find it hard to get the right paint for specific jobs. For example, someone working with metal, fencing, concrete or roof tiles will need completely different paints from the matt you use on walls. Rust-Oleum’s protective products work well to protect non-porous surfaces and adhere nicely to surfaces. That’s why they’re a popular option for road markings and industrial applications where you want a “one and done” paint solution.
Rust-Oleum also has quick working sprays which work well on furniture and appliances. If you need help finding a specific spray for a surface like metal or vinyl, please get in touch, and we’ll be happy to help.
