Can this be used on kitchen floor tiles?

We wouldn't recommend Rust-Oleum Multi-Surface Matt Black for flooring as it isn't designed to withstand footfall. We offer a wide range of floor-specific paints here.

I am painting railings in an Edinburgh New Town property. They have been painted black gloss forever. They have patches of rust. How long will the gloss finish last? I assume no undercoat/primer is needed even on the patches of rust and all that is needed is a good rub down before applying?
We recommend sanding back the rusted areas and then directly applying Rust-Oleum Multi-Surface Matt Black. It should last a few years but Rust-Oleum don't specify a lifecycle. Zinsser Allcoat would also be suitable and provide a longer term coating.
