No, colour-matching is never exactly the same as the original shade. Colour-matches are very close equivalents and in most cases, are so close that you can't tell the difference. But there will always be a shade variation to some degree, no matter how small.
We recommend ordering a sample pot and painting a small amount of your colour-matched paint directly onto the shade card swatch you are matching it to. Allow it to dry fully and compare the match from there, bearing in mind that it will never be exact, but it should be very close.Â
