Bedec Multi Surface Paint
Bedec Multi Surface Paint is a premium, versatile coating engineered to perform across a wide range of surfaces. FAQs
In most cases, no. Most Bedec products are designed to be applied directly without a separate primer. However, on porous surfaces such as untreated wood, new wood, cement render, plaster or brickwork, the first coat should be thinned with 30% clean water to act as a primer. A dedicated metal primer is recommended for bare ferrous metals.
For most surfaces, two coats of Bedec paint will deliver full coverage and durability. On particularly porous or heavily textured surfaces, a thinned first coat (30% water) acts as a primer and may be followed by two full topcoats for best results. Always allow adequate drying time between coats.
Allow at least four hours between coats at an average temperature of 18°C and a relative humidity of 65%. Bedec MSP is touch-dry in a couple of hours, though full cure takes longer. Under normal conditions, Bedec MSP paint is fully hardened after one month. Bear this in mind for surfaces that will be subject to heavy use or contact early on.
Yes. Bedec MSP is specifically formulated to adhere to plastic surfaces without the need for a separate primer, making it a practical choice for uPVC, garden furniture and plastic cladding. Ensure the surface is clean, dry and free from grease before application.
