How to Apply Dulux Trade Weathershield Smooth Masonry

For best results, apply using a brush, roller or spray after stirring well before use. Ensure all surfaces are clean and dry before applying and if painting new or bare surfaces, apply a thinned coat (1 part clean water to 5 parts paint) first to seal the surface before applying 2 regular coats. 

If you are repainting a surface already coated in Dulux Trade Weathershield Smooth Masonry and it is in good condition, one coat may be enough.

Do you do Dulux Weathershield tester pots?

Unfortunately, we don't offer a Dulux Trade Weathershield tester pot but we do offer a Dulux Trade Vinyl Matt Tester Pot that will demonstrate colour effectively. 

Is it ok for paving stones

We wouldn't recommend using masonry paint underfoot, instead, try one of our recommended patio paints.

Dulux Trade Weathershield Smooth Masonry is a matt finish. If you're looking for an exterior gloss, we would recommend Dulux Trade Weathershield Exterior High Gloss which can be applied to exterior wood and metal.

My decorator has used this pain to recoat a rendered surface. The paint has severely cracked. Why is this and what can be done to remedy it. He has applied 2 coats.
There are a few reasons this may have happened, it could be related to the weather conditions during application, weather conditions during drying periods and possibly moisture in the surface before painting. We recommend contacting the decorator as they will be able to advise on surface and weather conditions during painting.

Dulux Trade Weathershield Smooth Masonry should be fine on the lime-based render but if the surface is chalky, always treat with a stabilising solution first.

Good Afternoon Please could you advise i need to paint an outdoor small building gloss painted roof, it has slightly peeled my intentions are to sand it down then apply 2 coats of Peelstop do you think that Dulux trade weathershield smooth masonry paint is suitable for this job.
Depending on the surface, The Dulux Trade Weathershield Smooth Masonry can be used if the surface is Masonry however if the roof is Metal or Wood you would have to use Dulux Gloss or Satin

No, the Dulux Trade Weathershield Smooth Masonry is a water based product. We do supply Dulux All Seasons Smooth Masonry Paint which is oil based. 

We have a grade 2 listed building and need to paint the exterior in Suffolk pink but we need a microporous paint that can 'breathe'. What do you recommend?
No, The Dulux Trade Weathershield Smooth Masonry is not microporous and would not be suitable.
Do you do a smaller size than 2.5l? I only need 750ml or 1l of this colour
No, The Dulux Trade Weathershield Smooth Masonry smallest size is 2.5Lt
