Benjamin Moore Insl-X Stix Primer is an acrylic-urethan bonding primer-sealer offering unparalleled adhesion to challenging surfaces including melamine, ceramic tiles, glossy surfaces, plastics, interior and exterior wood, shutters, concrete, galvanised metal and fibreglass. 

Compatible with almost any topcoat, this is a brilliant primer that is low odour and low VOC thanks to its water-based formula. It is touch dry in just 30 minutes and can be top coated after 3-4 hours.

For best results apply Benjamin Moore Insl-X Stix Primer using a brush, roller, pad or spray to a clean, dry surface.

does this dry clear
Benjamin Moore Insl-X Stix Primer dries to a white finish ready for a topcoat.
Can this be applied over bin shellac primer
You can apply Insl-X Stix Primer over Zinsser BIN Primer.
Can I use it on garage floor that has sealer and oil paint on it?
Yes, While we can not say how well it would hold up you can use Benjamin Moore Insl-X Stix Primer on the floor. We would recommend sanding the area down before applying just help the paint adhere to the floor.
Can this be used as a primer for pvc panels inside a shower prior to painting?
The Benjamin Moore Insl-X Stix Primer can only be used if the panels are not in direct contact with the water. The shower panels would need a more specialist paint designed to withstand this.
Could this be used to prime melamine cabinets? Is there an alternative colour too if you're painting white surfaces and want it to be more obvious?
Yes The Benjamin Moore Insl-X Stix Primer can be used on the cupboards. Benjamin moore have a host of different whites to choose from.
Can this be used as a primer for upvc windows and then a water based product on top ?

is it a colour or is it clear. can i use it as a protection topcoat (similar to clear varnish) on exterior conservatory upvc windows. OR can you suggest a clear varnish or similar to coat on top of the upvc windows.
Benjamin Moore Insl-X Stix Primer applies and dries white. Unfortunately there are no clear primers these are all white, you could use a varnish however this may yellow over time.
