Can you use an acrylic tint in Blackfriar Polyurethane Floor Paint
We wouldn't recommend it, we would suggest that you use a universal tint for best results.
I'm painting a concrete patio in the garden that will be exposed to the British weather. Will this paint be o.k for this and does it need a primer to help the paint adhere to the concrete?
Yes, Blackfriar Polyurethane Floor Paint is designed for outdoor use so it will withstand the elements and be suitable for the patio surface without a primer. We recommend for best results and adhesion, that the slabs are clean and dry before use.
I’m planning to stencil the concrete patio floor and I was wondering if this paint would be suitable to use as the base colour on which the painted stencils will be painted in. Thanks
Yes, this is a suitable patio paint and could be used as the base colour.
Was looking at this for use on my garage floor. It has under floor heating. Will this product be ok with that?
Yes, Blackfriar Polyurethane Floor Paint can be applied to a garage floor with underfloor heating as long as the floor is not polished concrete in which case, it needs to be sealed first.
Do you need to prime and undercoat a wood floor before using this paint on it ?
If the wooden floor has been painted previously, there is no need to prime or undercoat. Simply remove any flaking or peeling paint and apply 2 full coats of Blackfriar
Polyurethane Floor Paint. If the surface is new or bare, we would recommend a floor sealer first.
Is Blackfriar Polyurethane Floor Paint subtable for painting over quarry tiles?
We wouldn't recommend using Blackfriar Polyurethane Floor Paint on Quarry Tiles.
This is based on a coverage of 10m² per litre of paint and one coat of paint.
Make sure you always check the coverage on the product page before purchasing and, if covering a dark or bright colour, you may need two or three coats.
