    Customer Questions
It says on the tin that you need to thin it but on here it says you don’t. I bought it because it says you don’t. Which is it?
The Coo-Var Yacht & Seaplane Gloss Varnish does require a first coat of thinned down paint if you are using on New Timber.
Is this completely colourless or does it have a tint? How much yellowing should I expect over time?
Solvent based varnishes are generally prone to yellowing compared to Water-based alternatives, however Coo-Var formulations include UV inhibitors to mitigate this effect. Timing will depend on how much UV exposure it is going to get, the composition of the wood and environmental factors.

How many windows and doors are there in the area you want to paint?

This is based on a coverage of 10m² per litre of paint and one coat of paint.

Make sure you always check the coverage on the product page before purchasing and, if covering a dark or bright colour, you may need two or three coats.
