Dulux Trade Aluminium Wood Primer is a solvent-based primer containing aluminium pigment suitable for use on all types of interior and exterior softwoods and hardwoods, especially those which are highly resinous. It can also be used as a sealer for aged creosoted or bitumen-coated surfaces or as a first coat when using Dulux Trade Aluminium Paint on timber, where a two-coat aluminium system is required.

Applying Dulux Trade Aluminium Wood Primer

For best results apply 1 coat using a brush to a clean, dry surface. Apply 2 coats of Dulux Trade Aluminium Wood Primer over highly resinous wood or when using over-aged creosote or bitumen-coated surfaces. How many windows and doors are there in the area you want to paint?

This is based on a coverage of 10m² per litre of paint and one coat of paint.

Make sure you always check the coverage on the product page before purchasing and, if covering a dark or bright colour, you may need two or three coats.
