Dulux Trade Metalshield Gloss is specially formulated for metal with a quick drying formula that can be overcoated within 4-8 hours. It provides lasting protection against corrosion on ferrous and non-ferrous metal substrates such as railings, garage doors, lift shafts, staircases and emergency exit routes. When applied with a primer like Dulux Trade Zinc Phosphate Primer or Dulux Trade Metalshield Quick Dry Metal Primer, it delivers up to 8 years of metal protection in a high shine finish.

Suitable for use on interior or exterior ferrous or non-ferrous metals, this is a reliable, trade-quality metal paint that will suit most jobs.

    Applying Dulux Trade Metalshield Gloss

For best results, ensure any rust, flaking or peeling paint has been removed before applying 1 coat of primer, either  Dulux Trade Zinc Phosphate Primer or Dulux Trade Metalshield Quick Dry Metal Primer, followed by two full coats of Metalshield Gloss. How many windows and doors are there in the area you want to paint?

This is based on a coverage of 10m² per litre of paint and one coat of paint.

Make sure you always check the coverage on the product page before purchasing and, if covering a dark or bright colour, you may need two or three coats.
