Johnstone's Trade Vinyl Silk Emulsion is a durable, washable silk finish paint that can be applied to interior walls and ceilings offering a high-quality, fade-resistant finish.
It provides brilliant coverage of 10-12 square metres per litre, depending on the nature and porosity of the surface being painted and can be applied to plaster, embossed wallpaper, concrete, interior cement rendering and interior brickwork and blockwork.
We recommend using Vinyl Silk in high-traffic areas of the home thanks to its washable, durable finish. In areas subject to frequent condensation for example some kitchens and bathrooms, Johnstone's Trade Acrylic Durable is more suitable.
Applying Johnstone's Trade Vinyl Silk
For best results, apply 2 coats using a brush, roller or airless spray to a clean, dry surface. Where the surface is porous, first apply a thinned coat of Vinyl Silk with 10% water to seal the surface before applying 2 regular top coats.
