Osmo Anti Slip Decking Oil Clear 2.5l

Osmo Anti-Slip Decking Oil is a clear, satin top coat for decking already treated with coloured oil. Containing a special highly compressed organic non-slip additive, which is evenly distributed in the coating, it reduces slips when dry. Creating a microporous surface, this oil allows the wood to breathe and reduces swelling and shrinkage. A water-repellent natural oil based surface that will not crack, peel, flake or blister. Rich with active ingredients to protect the coating against mould, algae and fungal attack, Osmo Anti-Slip Decking Oil is especially suitable for all timber decking and stairs in outdoor areas made of e.g. Bangkirai, Massaranduba, Garapa, Larch, Douglas Fir or Pine. Suitable for ribbed, grooved and particularly for smooth decking surfaces. With no need to sand or prime, simply recoat.

Preparation and Application of Osmo Anti-Slip Decking Oil

For best results, we recommend a base coat with a pigmented oil, such as Osmo Bangkirai-Oil, Larch-Oil or Douglas Fir Oil or Osmo Natural Oil Woodstain. Osmo Anti-Slip Decking Oil acts as protection against weathering and extends the life of the coating. For renovation works, clean old microporous finishes thoroughly and degrey and clean already greyed or weathered wood at the same time with Osmo Wood Reviver Power-Gel. Your wood surface must be clean, dry and frost-free (moisture content max. 20%) before applying. Osmo Anti-Slip Decking Oil is ready to use which means there is no need to thin, simply stir well with a flat stirring stick or spatula. If additional protection against blue stain, rot and insects is desired, pre-treat the wood if possible on all sides with Osmo WR Base Coat.

For ease of application, we recommend that you use the Osmo Flat Brush and apply thinly along the wood grain and spread well. For quicker application on larger areas, we recommend the Osmo Decking Brush (150 mm) which is tailored for decking and allows you to work more ergonomically. After spreading well and evenly, allow to dry for approx. 12 hours under good ventilation. For renovation works, one coat applied to the clean and dry surface is usually sufficient.
