Osmo Wood Wax Finish is a high-performing protective oil/wax coating for interior wood designed to add colour and protect the wooden surface. It uniquely combines the benefits of natural oils and waxes in one formula, providing a surface that is stain-resistant, water-repellent, and highly durable against abrasion. The finish leaves the wood with a smooth feeling.
Unlike traditional finishes, its plant-based ingredients ensure a more even colour. With no need for primer or intermediate sanding, the application is quick and easy, saving both time and money. This microporous finish is suitable for all wood types, and it won’t crack, peel, flake, or blister, ensuring long-lasting protection.
Osmo Wood Wax is suitable for all interior wood surfaces from kids toys, furniture and flooring, although if applying to wooden floors we recommend a final topcoat of Osmo Polyx Oil for added durability.
Applying Osmo Wood Wax Finish
For the transparent shades, if applying to a wooden floor, we recommend one coat and a top coat of Osmo Polyx Oil for added durability. For all other interior joinery, two coats will be enough for a transparent finish.
For the intensive shades, one coat will allow the wood’s natural grain and character to remain visible. After two coats, the wood’s characteristics will become hidden creating an opaque finish.
