Sadolin Wet Wood Decking Stain is a new, innovative formula that can be applied to wet wood. Replacing the previous Sadolin Decking Stain and Protector offers all the same benefits but with the ability to adhere to wet wood, which means no waiting around after jet washing the decking or relying on a dry few days with the unpredictable British weather.

Sadolin Wet Wood offers advanced UV technology and provides a more durable finish with optimum adhesion than most other decking oils. UV rays activate the formula as it dries to provide a perfect hard-wearing surface. The stain also contains algae and mould inhibitors to protect the surface from mould or algal growth. A long-lasting finish, this easy-to-apply decking stain is a failsafe for any DIY or professional decorator.

Applying Sadolin Wet Wood Decking Stain

For best results use a good quality synthetic fibre bristle brush to apply 2-3 liberal coats. Ensure all surfaces are completely saturated by applying several 'wet on wet' coats to the point that the grain refuses to absorbs anymore. From this point, allow drying for 4-6 hours before recoating again in the same way. On new work, wherever possible, the initial coat should be applied to all concealed surfaces prior to fixing. Avoid over spreading as this will reduce the long-term durability and performance of the coating system.

How many windows and doors are there in the area you want to paint?

This is based on a coverage of 10m² per litre of paint and one coat of paint.

Make sure you always check the coverage on the product page before purchasing and, if covering a dark or bright colour, you may need two or three coats.
