    The Paint Shed recommends

Perfect for the great British weather, this masonry paint is rain resistant after just 20 minutes.

Johnstone’s Stormshield Smooth Masonry Paint is a highly durable, water-based masonry paint that provides up to 15 years of protection, part of the Stormshield range. Rain resistant after just 20 minutes, it is a truly dependable exterior paint with excellent colour retention and high opacity. Offering coverage of up to 17m2 per litre, it can be used on cement rendering, rough cast, brick or concrete with ease.

Highly resistant to dirt and stains, it is a favourite among trade professionals thanks to its durability and long life expectancy.

Applying Johnstone's Trade Stormshield Smooth Masonry

For best results apply using a brush, roller or spray to a clean, dry surface. Apply 2 coats, 2-4 hours apart in dry conditions where possible though it is rain resistant after just 20 minutes.

If the surface has signs of fungal growth, clean first with a fungicidal wash. Stormshield Smooth Masonry can be applied directly to bare surfaces but if the surface is highly porous or friable, apply a coat of stabilising solution first.

How many windows and doors are there in the area you want to paint?

This is based on a coverage of 10m² per litre of paint and one coat of paint.

Make sure you always check the coverage on the product page before purchasing and, if covering a dark or bright colour, you may need two or three coats.
