Tikkurila Helmi 30 is a semi-matt, high quality acrylate paint that provides a longevity that is hard to beat. A durable furniture paint that can be tinted into thousands of colours including the Tikkurila Symphony Color System, it is also ideal for painting small items, window frames, doors, kitchen cabinets, radiators and more. 

Helmi is one of the eco-certified products in Tikkurila range,  proved by both M1 and Nordic Swan certificate. Helmi is proven to be safe, has a mild odor and dries quickly. It also meets the stringent requirements set for the surface treatment of toys.

Suitable for touch-up and first application painting and repainting of surfaces previously coated with an alkyd or acid-curing paint. Not suitable for repainting of surfaces painted with nitrocellulose lacquer.

We recommend that you apply with a brush, roller or spray and before painting suggest that you prime your surface with Tikkurila Helmi Primer.

Can you colour match great white farrow and ball?

Is Tikkurila Helmi 30 self-levelling and does it require a top coat?

Tikkurila Helmi 30 isn't self levelling and it doesn't require a topcoat. We recommend that you apply with a brush, roller or spray and before painting suggest that you prime your surface with Tikkurila Helmi Primer.

How does this product differ from Helmi 10 and can it be used on wooden furniture?

This product simply has a higher sheen level of 30, so is more like a semi-matt whereas Helmi 10 has a lower sheen level is considered more of a matt finish to this paint. They are both great paints for use on wooden furniture.

This is based on a coverage of 10m² per litre of paint and one coat of paint.
