Zinsser Exterior Allcoat is a high performing mould resistant paint for exterior surfaces including wood, metal, masonry, cladding, plastic, and concrete. It can even be applied to previously painted surfaces without sanding, over glossy paints or those coated with bitumen, tar varnish or creosote. A highly durable paint thanks to its breathable, water shedding coating rich in biocides to protect against fungal degradation, it has an expected life span of up to 15 years.

Offering high levels of resistance against cracking, blistering, and flaking, it creates a tough coating that will withstand the toughest of weather conditions keeping its depth of colour and tough finish.

If you’re looking to brighten up exterior surfaces, you can’t go wrong with Zinsser Allcoat Exterior Satin in crisp white. A perfect garage door paint or front door paint, it is also available tinted colours and in classic black.

Preparation and Application

For best results, remove any existing mould or mildew and apply two coats using a brush, roller or spray. If spraying Zinsser Allcoat Solvent Based, we recommend that you thin first.

There is no need to prime before applying Allcoat as it is a self-priming paint. The first coat primes and seals the surface, providing a base for the top coat. The top coat completes the sealing process while providing additional moisture resistance and protection.

A quick and easy to apply exterior paint, it is touch dry and shower resistant after just one hour and is ready for a recoat after three hours.

Customer Questions
Is this product suitable for a high class finish on external windows / Doors etc.
Yes, Zinsser Allcoat Exterior Satin is a highly durable paint with a superior finish. We recommend Allcoat in many circumstances but in particular, where a long-lasting finish is required on outdoor surfaces including windows and doors.
If using solvent-based paint, is the clean up with white spirit ?
Yes, Zinsser recommends that you clean up application tools, spills and drips of their solvent-based paints with a white spirit. If the product has dried on the application tool, clean with Zinsser brush cleaner and restorer.
Is Zinsser Allcoat suitable for a log cabin 58mm timber spruce to stop water ingress at corners? Can it be painted over one newly applied (useless) Cuprinol on the new cabin? Is it suitable for interior walls too?
Yes, Zinsser Allcoat can be applied over Cuprinol and is suitable for the log cabin. It is weather resistant but not waterproof so if water is coming in at the corners where the edges meet, we would advise attaching wooden strips or silicone sealant to block the water getting in.
Can I use Zinsser Allcoat on a garage roller door?
Yes you can apply Zinsser Allcoat to a roller garage door.
Is it OK to use internally in a swimming room ceiling? I use Zinsser permawhite on everything I can and on the doors in that room and its fabulous paint. Can you overpaint Allcoat?

You can use Allcoat on a swimming room ceiling but we would recommend Tikkurila Luja 20 as it's designed for high-humidity areas including swimming pools. Benjamin Moore Aura Bath and Spa is also a good paint for swim rooms as its designed for bathrooms, pools and spas.

Can this be used on previously oiled external timber?
Yes, Zinsser Allcoat Exterior Solvent Based Satin can be applied on external Timber that has been oiled.
Can I use this on indoor wall tiles

Yes, The Zinsser Allcoat Exterior Solvent Based Satin can be used on this surface. We would recommend a suitable primer to help the paint adhere.

is this any good for trim on a beach hut that see's a lot of weather?
Zinsser Allcoat Exterior Solvent Based can be used for trim on a beach hut, the product is weather resistant. However the durability depends on how much exposure the paint has to the harsh weather conditions as well as how well the surface is prepared before application.
Can this be used on external timber previously painted with water based paint?
Yes, Zinsser Allcoat Exterior Solvent Based Satin can be applied over the previous water-based product. We would advise creating a light key for the solvent based paint to adhere.
Does Zinsser solvent based Allcoat satin white have a sheen or is it matt. My decorator using it on an exterior timber window and it seems quite Matt
Yes Zinsser Allcoat Solvent Based Satin does have a sheen level which is higher than a Matt finish.
