Armstead Trade Floor Paint is a professional grade floor paint that delivers a tough and durable smooth floor finish. A solvent-based paint suitable for domestic or light industrial use, it can be applied to interior concrete, wood and metal surfaces with resistance to foot traffic and light rubber-wheeled vehicular traffic. Not suitable for areas of heavy industrial use, aggressive environments, car showrooms or garage floors that are in prolonged contact with wet vehicle tyres or in areas of constant high humidity such as swimming pools or shower rooms.

Applying Armstead Trade Floor Paint

For best results, we recommend that you apply 2 coats using a brush or roller to a clean, dry surface. If painting a brand new or bare porous surface, seal with one coat thinned with up to 1 part white spirit, before applying two regular coats. Touch dry in just 4-6 hours and fully dry after 16-24 hours, it is essential that the coated floor is well ventilated while drying.

Customer Questions
Is Armstead Trade Floor Paint suitable for wooden decking?

We wouldn't recommend using Armstead Trade Floor Paint on decking as it is designed for interior flooring, but we stock a wide range of decking stains here that would be perfect for the job.

Is Armstead Trade Floor Paint high gloss finish?
Armstead Trade Floor Paint is a matt finish.
Do you stock Armstead floor paint in Orion green 5lt. 16c37?

Unfortunately, we don't colour-match Armstead Floor Paint but it is available in a standard green shade, ready mixed. Alternatively, we can colour-match Johnstone's Trade Florted to Orion Green 16-c-37. Choose 5L and enter the colour code and name in the shade finder here before adding to your basket.

Could this be used on interior facing brick?

Yes, The Armstead Trade Floor Paint can be applied. We do recommend a Zinsser Bullseye Primer before application to help the paint adhere to the surface.

Have any backed bigger than 5L
No, The Armstead Trade Floor Paint Ready Mixed colours is only available in 5Lt tins.

How many windows and doors are there in the area you want to paint?

This is based on a coverage of 10m² per litre of paint and one coat of paint.

Make sure you always check the coverage on the product page before purchasing and, if covering a dark or bright colour, you may need two or three coats.
