    Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 is a universal interior and exterior, water-based, primer-sealer available in 500ml, 1L, 2.5L and 5L tins. Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-23 Primer offers low odour application, quick drying convenience and excellent adhesion to glossy surfaces. Bulls Eye 1-2-3 primes and seals even the trickiest of surfaces, both interior and exterior. It is a 'bond coat' primer that’s great for hard-to-stick surfaces as it offers excellent adhesion without sanding. It also prevents rust formation when applied over clean ferrous metal such as iron and steel.

    Rich in a biocide that protects the dried coating against fungal degradation, it’s ideal for high-humidity areas such as bathrooms and utility rooms. It also contains a stain blocker that is strong enough to permanently and completely seal graffiti, grease spots, tar and asphalt. For deeper stains from oil and water, fire and smoke damage try Zinsser Coverstain.

     Thanks to its rust inhibitive formula, it is ideal for new metal. It resists flash rusting in its "wet" state - and provides rust resistance for the life of the coating. It dries to a smooth, tight, water-resistant film that is perfect for painting iron railings, steel doors, metal panels, duct work, galvanised gutters - any interior or exterior metal surface.

     For best results, apply to a clean, dry surface using a brush, roller or airless spray.  Zinsser Bulls Eye has a quick 30 minute drying time and 1 hour dry time making it a quick and convenient solution.

    Yes, Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 can be used on new decking.
    Best primer for outside masonry? I have some flaking paint.
    For best results remove any flaking or cracked paint before priming and applying a topcoat. We would recommend Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Primer for exterior surfaces as it is a universal interior and exterior, water-based, primer-sealer.
    Is Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Primer any good on damp walls?
    We recommend that any damp is treated in full before priming and painting to ensure proper adhesion and longevity of the finish.
    Is Zinsser bulls eye 123 good for dark grey walls in bathroom?
    Yes, Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 is perfect for bathroom walls and can be used before applying any colour on top.
    Is Zinsser 123 good for concrete garage walls?
    Yes, Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 is suitable for concrete garage walls. It's a universal interior and exterior, water-based, primer-sealer that primes and seals even the trickiest of surfaces.
    Can Zinsser Bulls Eye 123 act as a bonding primer to cover oil-based gloss with water-based primer/undercoat? (i.e. to bridge from old oil-based finish to newer and much more pleasant water-based finishes?)
    Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Primer is perfect for applying to oil-based previous coatings before painting with water-based paint.
    Can this be used before a coat of zinger solvent based exterior satin? Or should an oil-based product be used for this?
    You can apply Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 before a solvent-based coating but if painting with Zinsser Allcoat, no primer or undercoat is required.
    Will Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Primer prevent knot bleed?
    Yes, Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Primer will prevent knot bleed.
    I am hoping to paint dark coloured rattan/wicker chairs with a water based paint, for indoor use only, would this primer be suitable or would the Zinsser BIN be more suitable?

    We would recommend priming rattan chairs with Zinsser BIN Primer for best results.

    I would like to paint stained exterior doors using Zinnser exterior satin in anthracite. Would 123 be suitable as a primer for this?
    You could prime with Zinsser Bullseye 1-2-3 but if the doors are sound, you shouldn't need a primer with Allcoat.
    Does Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Primer kill stains?

    Bulls Eye 1-2-3 permanently and completely seals grease spots, tar, graffiti, asphalt or even light water stains. The unique stain-blocking resins trap tannins from cedar and redwood in the primer film to prevent stains bleeding through the topcoat.

    Can Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Primer be used on metal?

    Bulls Eye 1-2-3® is great for all interior and exterior surfaces, so yes this product can be used on metal. It is also suitable for new and previously painted drywall, plaster, wood, vinyl, PVC, fibreglass and even masonry.

    Can Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Primer only be used on interior surfaces?

    Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Primer is great for all interior surfaces, and also all exterior surfaces. Interior surfaces it is suitable with includes drywall, plaster, wood, metal, vinyl, PVC, fibreglass. It can also be used on exterior surfaces too, for example, on masonry, metal, fibreglass, hardboard, PVC, weathered wood, pressure treated lumber, T1-11 siding - any outdoor surface.

    Can Zinser Bulls Eye Primer be used on walls before wall tiling?
    Yes, you could apply Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Primer before preparing to tile.
    I have some oil based gloss that needs painting with a waterbased gloss instead. Would I apply this as a primer and then apply my waterbased gloss. Or would I need to rub down the surface, apply this , then undercoat in waterbased paint then apply waterbased gloss?
    Yes, To use the Zinsser Bulls Eye 1-2-3 Primer you would have to Rub the surface down before applying.
