Armstead Trade Red Oxide Primer is a professional quality metal primer with excellent adhesion and rust inhibiting properites that prevents the spread of corrosion. It is suitable for use on both interior and exterior ferrous metal surfaces.
For ease of application and best results, ensure all surfaces are sound, dry and free from grease, wax and oil before priming. Where necessary, use a suitable oil and grease remover. Remove all loose or defective paint back to a firm edge. In the case of iron and steel, remove all loose scale and rust by thoroughly scraping and wire brushing. Leave new shiny galvanised metal to weather and become dull before priming with Armstead Trade Metal Primer Zinc Phosphate, or use a metal primer that is suitable for use on new galvanised metal.

How many windows and doors are there in the area you want to paint?

This is based on a coverage of 10m² per litre of paint and one coat of paint.

Make sure you always check the coverage on the product page before purchasing and, if covering a dark or bright colour, you may need two or three coats.
