The Paint Shed recommends

Perfect for high-traffic areas of the home where a luxurious flat and chalky finish is desired but durability is essential.

Now available with free next-day delivery on all UK mainland orders over £50.

Craig & Rose 1829 Chalky Emulsion is a water-based chalky matt finish paint for interior walls and surfaces. Specially enhanced to give better wash and rub resistance than ordinary flat wall paints with an especially low-sheen matt finish, less than 3%. This chalky matt emulsion is also suitable for furniture making it an upcycling staple.

Please note that the following colours are not available in 1L tins: Chalky White, Chinese White, Craftsman's White, Pantry White, Porcelain Blue and White Doe.

Applying Craig and Rose Chalky Emulsion

Apply 2 coats by brush, roller or spray and note that new dry plaster surfaces should be primed with a coat of Craig & Rose Undercoat or another suitable wall primer. Chalky emulsion paint can be thinned slightly with 5-10% of clean water to counteract any excessive suction when being used directly on to plaster surfaces. Always ensure the previous coat is completely dry before over coating.

How many windows and doors are there in the area you want to paint?

This is based on a coverage of 10m² per litre of paint and one coat of paint.

Make sure you always check the coverage on the product page before purchasing and, if covering a dark or bright colour, you may need two or three coats.
