Customer Questions
What kind of primer would you recommend to use with this paint over a bare wood surface? Do I need a primer at all with this paint?
Dulux Trade Diamond Satinwood won't need a primer on bare wood. Simply apply two full coats using a brush or short pile roller directly to the bare wood.
Can this be sprayed with airless system?
You can apply Dulux Trade Diamond Satinwood with an airless sprayer but Dulux recommends that for best results, use a good quality synthetic (nylon polyester) brush or short pile synthetic/mohair roller designed for the application of water-based paints.
How can I use this paint on top of oil based satinwood and gloss (there is not a big colour change)? Will a good sanding and a coat of Zinsser Bullseye 1-2-3 followed by a coat of this water based satinwood give a good result?

Yes, The Dulux Trade Diamond Satinwood can be applied. We would recommend applying a Zinsser Bulleye primer before application.

Can I use this straight onto old white water based paint that has been lightly sanded and cleaned
Yes you can apply this straight on to the surface if a key has been created however we would advise to use a primer as this ensures a smooth adhesion as well as smoother finish.

How many windows and doors are there in the area you want to paint?

This is based on a coverage of 10m² per litre of paint and one coat of paint.

Make sure you always check the coverage on the product page before purchasing and, if covering a dark or bright colour, you may need two or three coats.
