Sadolin Outdoor Varnish is a high performing waterproof varnish that builds a tough, durable barrier against weathering. Best suited for use on new wood and maintenance of previously coated windows, doors and conservatories but not suited for use on fascias.

Available in a satin or matt finish, Sadolin Outdoor Varnish is totally clear allowing the enhancement of the natural wood colour and texture underneath. With excellent UV protection, this premium clear exterior wood varnish will provide long lasting protection that resists flakes and peeling.

    Applying Sadolin Outdoor Varnish

For best results apply in a full flowing coat ensuring all surfaces and end grains are fully coated using a good quality, long-haired, soft bristle brush. Pay special attention to end grain, tops and bottoms of doors, and undersides of cills. Finish with 2 or 3 full coats.

    Customer Questions
Can I use this product on top of oil based paint?
Sadolin Outdoor Varnish Satin is okay to use over a previous coating of oil-based paint but please note that because this varnish is translucent, the final sheen and colour will depend on the existing coating underneath.

How many windows and doors are there in the area you want to paint?

This is based on a coverage of 10m² per litre of paint and one coat of paint.

Make sure you always check the coverage on the product page before purchasing and, if covering a dark or bright colour, you may need two or three coats.
