Customer Questions
Is Sadolin Yacht Varnish low in VOCs and is it safe to use in the garden on raised beds growing vegetables?
No, as this product is solvent based it has a high VOC content. We wouldn't recommend using it on vegetable beds.
Is the produce low in VOCs and is it safe to use on raised beds growing vegetables?

Sadolin Yacht Varnish is solvent based which means it isn't classed as lo VOC. Low VOC products tend to be water based instead. We would recommend a Quick Drying Satin Woodstain instead for the vegetable bed.

What product would you suggest I use underneath Sadolin Yacht Varnish to create an opaque white colour on cedar wood?

We recommend using Sadolin Beautiflex under Sadolin Yacht Varnish to add opaque colour.

We have renovated our house and have a timber purlin close to the shower area in our bathroom. Is this product suitable for protection against humidity and moisture in the hour for very short periods. We are looking to protect the purlin.
Yes, The Sadolin Yacht Varnish Clear Gloss can be used unless the area is constantly getting wet.

How many windows and doors are there in the area you want to paint?

This is based on a coverage of 10m² per litre of paint and one coat of paint.

Make sure you always check the coverage on the product page before purchasing and, if covering a dark or bright colour, you may need two or three coats.
