Sikkens Cetol Filter 7 Plus is a premium, solvent-based woodstain designed to provide long-lasting protection and colour retention for exterior hardwood and softwood. Ideal for high-exposure areas such as doors, windows, cladding, and other joinery, this durable topcoat delivers a flexible, microporous finish that resists cracking, flaking, and blistering over time.
Formulated with UV-resistant pigments, Cetol Filter 7 Plus shields wood from the sun, helping to prevent fading and maintain a rich, even appearance. Used in combination with Sikkens Cetol HLS Plus as a base coat, it forms part of a high-performance woodcare system that offers superior durability in demanding outdoor environments.
Preparation and Application
Surfaces should be clean, dry, and free from dust, grease, and old flaking coatings. For best results, apply over Cetol HLS Plus base coat. Stir thoroughly before and during use.
Apply 2 coats with a high-quality synthetic brush, allowing approximately 16–24 hours drying time between coats. Lightly sand between coats for a smoother finish and improved adhesion.
