Johnstone's Trade Woodworks Quick Dry Opaque Wood Finish combines the benefits of the very latest water based technology with the best attributes of solvent based coatings. The new formulation gives a long lasting, all weather, micro-porous, protective, satin finish that is ideal for garden furniture and exterior woodwork on both rough sawn planed timber and smooth. It ensures most tasks can be completed in one day thanks to its quick drying formula.
Applying Johnstone's Trade Woodworks Quick Dry Opaque Wood Finish
Ensure all timber to be treated is sound, clean, dry and free from dust, grease, polish or any other surface contaminant. Treat any mould or lichen with a fungicidal wash as directed. Sand smooth natural planed wood and wipe clean with White Spirit to remove any natural oils or resins and allow to dry. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960 paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.
