Dulux Trade Weathershield Exterior High Gloss is a flexible, weather-resistant paint for exterior woodwork and primed metal. It contains a fungicide to prevent mould growth and provides up to 8 years of protection when used as part of a 3 part system alongside Weathershield Preservative Primer and Weathershield Flexible Undercoat.

Applying Dulux Trade Weathershield Exterior High Gloss

For the full 8 years of protection, first clean and dry the surface using a Fungicidal Wash before rubbing down to remove any weathered, greyed wood. Next start by applying one coat of Weathershield Preservative Primer and allowing it to dry for 16 hours. Follow on by applying two coats of Weathershield Flexible Undercoat before applying two full coats of High Gloss with a brush.

    Customer Questions
Do you have a water based version of exterior gloss

We would recommend using Dulux Trade Weathershield Quick Drying Exterior Gloss as this is a water-based, durable exterior gloss with all the benefits of the solvent-based gloss and a faster drying time.

How many windows and doors are there in the area you want to paint?

This is based on a coverage of 10m² per litre of paint and one coat of paint.

Make sure you always check the coverage on the product page before purchasing and, if covering a dark or bright colour, you may need two or three coats.
