Zinsser Perma White is specifically designed for high-moisture environments like bathrooms and kitchens. It performs well in areas with splashes, steam and regular temperature changes - making it ideal for walls and ceilings in those areas.
It is mould and mildew resistant, however it's not completely mould proof. It contains a biocide that protects the paint film from fungal growth however it will not fix underlying conditions like poor ventilation or damp, these need to be full addressed to fully prevent mould.
In many cases Perma White can be applied directly onto previously painted surfaces. However we do recommend using a primer when painting over bare plaster, porous surfaces, or areas that may have had prior water damage, nicotine stains or similar as a primer will ensure proper adhesion and full coverage.

Perma White is typically touch try within 30 minutes and can usually be recoated after about 2 hours, depending on the temperature. Drying times can vary in colder environments.
