Dulux Trade Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior High Gloss is a flexible, weather-resistant paint for exterior woodwork. Resistant to flaking, peeling and blistering thanks to its flexible formula that allows the wood to expand and contract naturally as the weather changes, this is a durable, fast drying solution for outdoor wood including window frames, trim, wooden fascias and more. It contains a fungicide to prevent mould growth and provides up to 8 years of protection when used as part of a 3 part system alongside Weathershield Preservative Primer and Weathershield Flexible Undercoat.

Available in hundreds of colours including RAL, BSC and colour matching, this high gloss paint for outdoor wood and metal is durable, long-lasting and mould resistant.

Applying Dulux Trade Weathershield Quick Dry Exterior High Gloss

For the full 8 years of protection, first clean and dry the surface using a Fungicidal Wash before rubbing down to remove any weathered, greyed wood. Next start by applying one coat of Weathershield Preservative Primer and allowing it to dry for 16 hours. Follow on by applying two coats of Weathershield Flexible Undercoat before applying two full coats of High Gloss with a brush.

Customer Questions
How much difference between Dulux Trade Weathershield High Gloss and Weathershield Gloss? It is for touching up a wooden building painted in buttermilk oil-based.
The only difference is the sheen level. The high gloss has higher sheen level than the gloss.
What colour undercoat do I need to use with Dulux 40YY38107?
We would recommend a cream or off-white undercoat. If choosing a tinted undercoat, you can tint to the same colour as your topcoat too.

How many windows and doors are there in the area you want to paint?

This is based on a coverage of 10m² per litre of paint and one coat of paint.

Make sure you always check the coverage on the product page before purchasing and, if covering a dark or bright colour, you may need two or three coats.
