Johnstone's Trade Satin Finish is a solvent-based, mid-sheen finish paint for interior use on wood and metalwork. A hardwearing, washable finish that is easy to use and gives long-term protection to wood and metal surfaces. This durable and condensation-resistant paint will cover approximately 20 square metres per litre depending on the nature and porosity of the surface. 

Available in thousands of colours including RAL, BSC and colour matching.

Applying Johnstone's Trade Satin Finish

For best results, undercoat first with Johnstone's Trade Professional Undercoat before applying 2 coats of Satin Finish using a brush or roller in a well-ventilated area.

Johnstone's Trade Satin Finish is oil-based and designed for interior use.
Do you need a primer with Johnstone's Trade Satin Finish?

For best results, we recommend using Johnstone's Trade Professional Undercoat first before applying the Satin Finish topcoat. 

Can you thin this and spay it.
We don't recommend spraying Johnstone's Trade Satin Finish as it's a solvent-based formula.
Is it possible to thin trade satin and spray it, if not have you any similar finishes you can spray? Thanks

Johnstone's Trade Satin Finish is a solvent-based paint which isn't suitable for spraying. We recommend only spraying water-based paints for health and safety reasons, try Johnstone's Trade Aqua Satin for a sprayable, satin finish paint.

How long does this paint take to dry?
The Johnstone's Trade Satin Finish Paint is Touch dry within 4-6 Hours. If you are looking to recoat the paint will be fully dry within 16 to 24 hours.
