Zinsser Allcoat Exterior Gloss Solvent Based is a high performance, mould resistant gloss paint for all exterior surfaces including wood, metal, masonry, plastic, concrete and cladding. Offering excellent protection for up to 15 years, this is a durable, low maintenance gloss paint that can be relied on. The silicon alkyd formula forms a low maintenance, water-shedding coating that is touch dry in 4 hours and is ready for recoat after 16 hours. It also gives excellent resistance against cracking, blistering, chalking, and flaking.
Designed for all exterior surfaces, Allcoat Exterior Gloss (Solvent Based) has excellent colour retention and resistance to yellowing often associated with oil based gloss paints. This mould resistant paint also contains a biocide to protect the dried surface against fungal degradation.
Also available in black and a huge range of tinted colours.
Preparation and Application
Allcoat couldn’t be easier to apply, simply remove any existing mould or mildew and apply two coats with a brush, roller or spray. No need to prime, Zinsser Allcoat is self priming. The first coat primes and seals the surface, providing a base for the top coat. The top coat completes the sealing process while providing additional moisture resistance and protection.
For best results, apply to previously painted surfaces with a brush, roller or spray after removing any mildew or mould. If painting over hard or flossy surfaces, sand lightly and degrease before applying two coats.
For new or bare surfaces such as UVPC, brick or metal, apply a suitable primer such as Zinsser Bulls Eye 123 before applying two coats of gloss.
For wood, apply Zinsser Cover Stain as a primer before painting two coats of gloss and if spot priming knots or sap streaks, prime with Zinsser B-I-N.
