Tips & Advice for Using Dulux Polished Pebble

A pebble on the beach can be any colour, so what exactly does Dulux Polished Pebble look like? This colour is very light grey with the slightest of tinges to give depth. In the daytime, natural light coming in a room will make it look just off-white. When lights are on in the evening, the pebble finish can give a slightly more grey hue on the wall. The brighter the space, the lighter the paint will appear.

Obviously, the exact finish will depend on the type of paint you’re buying. Most customers looking to have Dulux Trade Pebble in their homes will opt for Dulux Trade Vinyl Matt or Dulux Diamond Eggshell. If you’re painting over walls which already have a light colour, you may only need to use one coat of the Diamond Eggshell. Anyone who has dark colours on the wall will need to do some prep work, by getting some Dulux Undercoat mixed to Polished Pebble. It will help prevent colours from bleeding through the wall.

If you’re planning to use Dulux Pebble in a complementary fashion with cabinets and fittings, slate greys look best, especially on the likes of kitchen cabinets and drawers. Dulux Natural Slate would be a very appropriate shade to use in this instance.
